Open Movie Editor supports the Frei0r Effects.
But when you run Open Movie Editor in Ubuntu, you see the available Filters and Effects list pretty empty.
This is because you have to install the Frei0r plugins separately. Here is a brief HOWTO:
Download the tarball clicking on
http://propirate.net/frei0r/latest.tar.gz
Save it in your home folder.
You'll get a folder called frei0r-plugins-1.1.21.
Open a terminal and Enter the Frei0r folder with:
cd frei0r-plugins-1.1.21
Type:
./configure
then:
make
and finally:
sudo make install
Launch Open Movie Editor and enjoy the plugins listed in the Filters and Effects tab.
